Douglas Works is an architecture and design studio based in Medford, Massachusetts. We’re drawn to projects that ask good questions—ones that require a little imagination, a bit of strategy, and a willingness to rethink what’s possible. Whether it’s a home, a workspace, or something in between, we enjoy working with people who care deeply about design and want to create something meaningful.
Our work is equal parts creative and practical. We like finding the hidden potential in a site or brief—especially the kind of project that might get overlooked. We’re inspired by both historic and contemporary architecture and bring that curiosity into everything we do. So far, our projects have included homes, cultural spaces, offices, and places to gather.
We’re currently working on projects across Massachusetts, Vermont, Texas, and New Zealand.
Douglas Works was founded in 2023 by Tucker Douglas, an architect licensed in Massachusetts and Texas and a member of the AIA. Before starting the studio, Tucker worked on a wide range of residential, commercial, and institutional projects in Houston, Austin, New York, and Boston. His teaching and guest critic experience includes Tufts, Wentworth, MIT, Harvard, and more.
Tucker lives in Medford with his wife, Natalie Lin Douglas, a violinist and arts entrepreneur, and their son, Ezra.
